Will you be the winner of the XXX door prize?
Visit our club booth to preview the raffle grand prize, a (TBD) specimen.
The first, run by WMC member Grant Jones, was on silver wire wrapping. Grant brought several beautifully cut stones, and he showed how he wraps them securely and artistically with silver wire to create lovely jewelry. As he worked, he described the process, and was eager to introduce others to this craft. The second demonstration booth was run by David Ireland of the metals department at the Worcester Center for Crafts. Dave, an instructor at the center, demonstrated several lapidary skills, including how to cut stones for jewelry using a cabochon machine.
New families and individuals will have the opportunity to join the club on the spot.
We’re always happy to talk with interested people about our club.
Thanks to the many club members who are volunteering their time to make this a successful event, and look forward to many people to come out to the show and bring their good humor, stories, and love for rocks and minerals. See you in November!
