Bring Your Rocks for Mt. Holyoke College’s Rock Identification Table

We will have students and a faculty member or two from Mt. Holyoke College at a rock and mineral ID table in the back of the vendors’ sales floor, just before the lobby with our mineral display cases. Bring your rocks, tell your friends, and bring your friends too. We will be setup for the entire show!

Have Lunch with Us on Saturday & Sunday

We have made arrangements with St. Joseph’s Cafeteria and kitchen staff to cook burgers and hot dogs in the same area as the demos on Saturday from 11:30AM to 3:30PM, and Sunday noon to 3:30PM. In addition to these food items, you’ll be able to purchase chips, soda and bottled water. So plan to kick back and enjoy the demos while eating a good meal in a great room. All net proceeds from food and beverage sales will benefit the Worcester Mineral Club.

This will be the first time in over a decade that we’ll have a gemstone faceting demo at our show. David Sanipass of Lone Bear’s Arts, LLC will be faceting gemstones (see the cover page), and Grant Jones will be demonstrating wire wrapping of gems he has cut and polished on his lapidary equipment. Grant field collects his own rough rock that he uses for his craft. You can learn a ton just watching these artists!

WIN Hourly Door Prizes

Door prizes are low priced items given away during hourly drawings, using the little carnival ticket (such as those we use in our in-person meetings). Also known as DOOR PRIZE DRAWING and HOURLY DRAWING. Each Paying attendee will be given a door prize ticket at one of the ticket tables and must be present to collect their prize.
