April, 18th and the 19th 2015 – A 2015 WMC Fonda “Clean-up Trip” is in the works! Folks have been so excited in the past about the annual spring WMC Fonda site “Clean-up Trip” that to satisfy the demand a trip to the WMC Fonda Claim is tentatively scheduled for April, 18th and the 19th. This past winter still seems to have a grip on us, so be prepared that digging in the top soil for Herkimer Diamonds may not be possible, there may still be snow on the ground in Fonda, making it difficult to move equipment. A weather ‘go’, ‘no go’ decision will be made the week of the 13th. Despite the long winter and with the tenacity of every true rock hound we’ll try to kick off the 2015 Herkimer Diamond collecting season.
