This space is just for Worcester Mineral Club members to chat about things like: ID’ing specimens, buying, selling, or trading rocks, minerals, fossils, equipment, books, and other hobby-related items.

Please review the following guidelines before posting:

Posting Rules (Selling/Trading)

• Include a clear title (e.g., “Fluorite Specimen – $30” or “Microscope for Sale”)
• Add a description with size, condition, location (if pickup only), if you’re willing to ship, and any other relevant info
• Post a photo if possible — people love to see what they’re buying!
• List your contact info — email or phone (whatever you’re comfortable with)
• Update or delete your post if the item is sold or no longer available

Posting Rules (ID’ing)

• Include a clear title (e.g., “Silver Mineral Found in Haddam, CT” or “Is this pyrite I found in Keene, NH?”)
• Add a description with size, condition, location (where you found it), and any other relevant info
• Post a photo! Post a few if you can! Try to use natural lighting, the best light is in the shade on a sunny day.
• List your contact info — email or phone (whatever you’re comfortable with)
• Comment or delete your post when the item has been identified!

Etiquette & Reminders

• Keep it friendly — we’re all hobbyists and club members
• No unrelated items (e.g., yard sale leftovers or household goods)
• WMC is not responsible for transactions — it’s up to buyer/seller to arrange payment and delivery
• Posts older than 60 days may be removed if not updated
• If a post seems suspicious, report it to the site admin.
